Welcome to the first in a series of yoga videos led by me. The next few months we, dear reader, are going to explore yoga. We will touch into its benefits and history. As well as try out a few things together whether it be in your home or your backyard. This is the perfect way to get over the uncertainty of going to the studio or the time crunch most of us feel. Getting your blood moving is the fastest way to combat so many of life’s curve-balls.
Please feel free to enjoy my eight minute yoga flow to help strengthen and also loosen the body. Repeat three times for maximum workout and increase breath count to 2-3 breathes between each movement.
Remember to move with your breath. If at anytime you experience any discomfort or pain please immediately stop.

Tips for Halasana include locking the elbows in place by tucking the shoulders and grasping palms together to support. If your toes come to the ground press hard down to help support the body and ultimately create the “plow” shape with your body. For greater release, allow knees to come down to cover each ear.
Tips for Ardha Navasana include scooping the lower belly in and focusing the tail and sit bones down towards the earth. Think about rooting yourself with your sit bones and balancing on your natural seat. Parallel legs create the “half boat pose” but raise those legs and engage the core further for “full boat pose”
