I love using high vibrational oils to help clear my space not just of grime but of stagnant energy! Instead of chemical solvents (which are used to sanitize high contact areas) I tend use a mix of cedar wood, vinegar and hot water.

Much like in practice or meditation I set an intention as I clean. I first ask the waters to help me wash away energy that is not mine and then imagine the cedar wood creating a protective barrier on the floor. I continue to wash up saying as many times the affirmation “ I remove all energy that is not my own and replace it with protection as I ground myself with my feet”. This is a scared space now. All spaces contain and carry energy, as a reiki practitioner I use the tools at my disposal to clear what I can not see. This even means the energy of your own family.

Let’s take the energy of frustration for example. Many of us are working from home or have a partner working from home. Let’s say you end a particularly stressful zoom call, not mad at anyone in particular you stomp out of the room for some tea. On the way over you knock down a mug “frig” you grumble. After fumbling through your tea making you stomp back to the office to continue your day. By the end of the day you feel much happier because you resolved some conflicts. However your frustrated energy is still sizzling through the space because it hasn’t been properly cleared. Now imagine this day after day. Add the energy of an argument with your partner and then the frantic excitement of getting good news on top. The energy of your home is just as murky as the dust mites on the floor ….

Setting an intention to clear energetically as you clean practically is a fantastic way through which I feel better in my environment.

This is EXTREMELY important in a studio setting. Every single client leaves themselves energetically behind. Much like ghosts of the past. We imprint where we exist.

Reiki is about balance. So, while we clear other people’s energy and stagnant emotions of our own we also have to replace what we remove. I choose love, protection, grounding. Try it at home w high grade EO’s like @younglivingcanada ❤️#reikipractitioner
