Yoga In The Park

2021 DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED @ GWENDOLYN PARK IN WEST LANSING, NORTH YORK, TORONTO

These will be all level classes with a focus on returning range of motion, and opening sticky spots like the shoulders and lower back. These particular areas will also be strengthened in order to reduce discomfort and/or pain. Sequences will be evenly paced with a mix of standing, seated and supine postures. The first four weeks will focus on foundational alignment, the development of a focused awareness and a return to neutrally. The second four weeks will focus on linking poses together. At the end of eight weeks students will have the building blocks to practice at home. Variations will be provided for injury and/or to help advanced students increase intensity. A non-intimidating space, classes will feature relaxing music and massage in savasana. A mat and a towel are required. Mat’s can be bought at Canadian Tire for a decent price and often a beach towel will do. Students can sign up for 6-8 weeks depending on their level of commitment. 6-week option is also fantastic for anyone travelling or forecast to miss some of the 8-week program.
