Sophia Amoruso’s book #GIRLBOSS is clever in so many ways. Not only does she tell her rags to riches story, she also demonstrates an emerging business ethic rooted in social media. All the while, she is driving customers to her site. Ultimately, the book is inspiring while at the same time comforting, assuring the reader he/she can become successful by being simply just your weird, freaky self.

The book is filled with tips on how to start your own business online, keep the passion and how to keep your feet on the ground once the business takes off and your bank account starts seeing million dollar numbers. It’s a great book for any fashion lover, and an even better book for the fashion lover with the drive to get their own start-up off the ground. One has to keep in mind however, there can only be one Nasty Gal.
Amoruso explains in the book many times the key to happiness and sometimes financial success is being true to yourself.
After finishing #GIRLBOSS I couldn’t help but make a little purchase on the site itself, to get that Nasty Gal thrill. So, while my significant other pulled weeds in the garden on a 30+ degree day. I sat in the shade and shopped the Nasty Gal summer sale. My goods came within a week and a half. Lots of items on the website are fairly priced. For those of you blue bloods out there, the vintage and select lines carried offer luxe and one-of-a-kind options. My only complain was the $15 C.O.D. I was not made aware of for shipping across state lines. Lucky for me this particular sale had me walking away with items so cheap it was like I stole them!
